You can get travel insurance for the USA online or visit one of the branch offices.

Anyone with a valid QID (identification document issued to all citizens and residents of Qatar) and a passport can buy the USA travel insurance.

3. Enter your travel dates. 
4. Enter the number of travelers if you go with your family. 
5. Provide your contacts: mobile number and email. 
6. Enter your QID number 
7. Fill out personal details for every traveler you want to insure. 
8. Add additional covers if you need any. 
9. Buy the policy. We will send it to your email right after the purchase.

No, travel insurance is not mandatory for travelling to the United States. However, you can get a policy to protect yourself against a range of issues during the trip.
